4th Gen Toyota 4Runner (2003–2009) Washer Fluid Relocation Reservoir

Upgrade your engine bay and protect your washer system with our washer fluid relocation reservoir for the 4th Gen Toyota 4Runner. This kit replaces the factory plastic washer reservoir with a durable, custom-fabricated aluminum unit designed to relocate the system safely into the engine bay.

The reservoir mounts behind the passenger-side headlight and in front of the air box, keeping it protected from trail hazards while maintaining easy access. It is TIG-welded from 5052 aluminum and topped with a vented billet aluminum cap machined from 6061 aluminum for long-term durability and a clean, professional appearance.

Why Relocate the Washer Fluid Reservoir?

Relocating the factory washer reservoir is highly recommended for off-road and modified vehicles due to several common issues:

• High-clearance bumpers leave the factory reservoir, pumps, and hoses exposed to rocks and trail debris

• Larger tires can contact the stock reservoir at full suspension compression

• Wheels with aggressive offset or wheel spacers increase scrub radius, causing tire interference with the factory reservoir

• Exposed pumps and hoses clutter the engine bay

This relocation solves all of the above while improving both protection and aesthetics.

Product Specifications

• 1.01 Gallon capacity (The largest available!)

• Reservoir body and mounting bracket welded from 5052 aluminum

• Vented billet aluminum cap machined from 6061 aluminum

• Stainless steel vent allows internal pressure equalization

• Mounts to the factory power steering reservoir bracket (lower mount)

• Two Upper body mount uses rivnuts for a secure installation

• Reuses OEM washer pumps and rubber gaskets

• Low washer fluid sensor is eliminated (some vehicles do not have this from the factory)

• Includes mounting hardware:

  • 2 rivnuts

  • 2 bolts

Installation

Installation is straightforward and can be completed with basic hand tools.
Please reference our detailed installation video on our YouTube channel for visual guidance.

Basic installation overview:

1. Remove the factory washer reservoir and unplug wiring. Retain the OEM rubber pump gaskets.

2. Reroute washer hoses and wiring into the engine bay as needed.

3. Remove the front bolt securing the power steering reservoir bracket.

4. Transfer OEM gaskets into the new reservoir and loosely mount it to the power steering bracket.

5. Mark and drill the upper mounting holes, then install the supplied M6 rivnut.

6. Install washer pumps, reconnect wiring, and secure the reservoir at both mounting points.

7. Fill with fluid and test washer operation.

Additional Notes

• This is a hand-built, custom aluminum product. Minor surface blemishes may be present and are purely cosmetic.

• Each reservoir is pressure-tested and guaranteed to be watertight.

• Includes a 1-year warranty covering normal use (does not cover abuse or neglect).

• The reservoir reuses OEM rubber gaskets—if your originals are brittle or damaged, replacement is recommended.
